Painter Bacon's portrait of lover to be auctioned in New York

Francis Bacon's ''Study for Portrait of PL 1962,'' an oil on canvas, is seen in an undated handout photo from Sotheby's. The painting is expected to sell for $30 million to $40 million when it auctioned at Sotheby's New York on May 14.
